Every oil we use has natural anti-fungal and antibacterial properties, which helps keep them shelf stable. All products should be kept in a cool dark place. For any product that has raw cocoa or raw shea butter in it; if it melts and resolidifies it may crystalize. This happens because raw shea and raw cocoa butter are high in fat. If they cool slowly the fat will crystalize. This does not take away the benefits of shea or cocoa butter, but can make the texture feel beady. The crystals are a natural thing and melt easily when body heat is applied. The more cocoa and shea butter a product has, the more likely this will happen.
No! Because the oils we use have anti-fungal and antibacterial properties, they have a long shelf life. If the products are constantly melting and solidifying, the texture can start to change, especially with the scrubs, but this does not take away any of the benefits of the products. We suggest stirring the scrubs if they start to separate.
Use a clean make up brush to gently tap the dry shampoo. Apply close to your roots and spread throughout your hair & scalp. Avoid applying directly to your part. Our parts tend to be the oiliest spots, so it'll just require a little more effort to move the dry shampoo around if directly applying to your part.
Here is my favorite make up brush to use, but any large make up brush will work.
If you do not have a large make up brush or do not want one, you can also use your fingertips by gently inserting the tips of your fingers into the dry shampoo and spreading your fingers throughout your hair.
